Abstract

The focal tight junctions were identified by conventional thin sections, lanthanum impregnation and freeze-fracture in cancer cell clumps from human pleural or ascitic fluids from patients with disseminated adenocarcinomas of the breast, lung and ovary. No gap junctions could be identified between these cells.
