    Abstract

    This chapter discusses the main aspects of the assessment and management of pain, along with other complications from bone metastases. Some of these complications are pathological fractures, spinal-cord compression, and hypercalcaemia. The first section of the chapter focuses on the assessment and management of bone pain in advanced breast cancer. This is followed by a discussion on the specific pain syndromes in metastatic breast cancer.
