Abstract

Endoscopic ultrasound has emerged as a clinically useful modality with multiple applications. However, endosonography traditionally has been a two- dimensional imaging method. Three-dimensional endosonography has become feasible now. This paper reviews the current data on three-dimensional endoscopic ultrasound and discusses potential clinical applications of acquiring endosonography images in three dimensions.
