note = "Funding Information: We need electronic health records that include nursing's focus and priorities for patients. We also need technology companies to work toward interoperability among technologies and to ask nurses what technology would help them deliver better care? Under the leadership of Linda Burnes Bolton, Marilyn Chow and Pamela Cipriano, the American Academy of Nursing conducted a “Technology Drill Down” funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation several years ago. The study reported that nurses found a lot of the bedside technology to be unhelpful and difficult to use, that they welcomed technological solutions to a number of care issues, and that their input into technology developments was seldom sought. Time to reverse this situation. ",
