Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

This chapter provides answers to practice-based questions with case studies covering the new principles of diagnosis, classification, staging, treatment, and outcomes in the rapidly advancing field of uncommon gynecologic cancers. It presents clinical scenarios on different uncommon gynecologic cancers. Historically, these rare cancers were lumped with their more common counterparts and treated identically, both using standard of care therapies and in clinical trials. The cases in this chapter will provide the healthcare provider with valuable information regarding the specific clinical management of rare cervical, uterine, and ovarian cancers. The chapter also provides expert guidance in the areas of cancer-related uncertainties and controversies, including experience-based discussions.
