What the future holds for gene therapy

Abstract

In its infancy today, much like antibiotic therapy 50 years ago, gene therapy may one day alter the practice of clinical medicine. The ability to manipulate genes holds great promise for treating genetic disorders, cancer, AIDS, and a score of other diseases.
